Key dates and how to take part
Submission deadline: 4pm, Good Friday — 3 April 2026.
Final in-person drop-in session: Tuesday 24 March, 12:30–2:00pm, WDC Offices, Rust Ave. Staff and Councillors will be available to answer questions and help with submissions.

Why your input matters
The Annual Plan sets Council priorities, budgets and fees that affect everyday life in Hikurangi. Submissions help Councillors understand local needs and trade-offs; even a short submission highlighting one or two priorities can influence decisions.
WDC Annual Plan Feedback: What you can comment on
Rates and funding priorities — how Council raises and spends money.
Local projects and services — maintenance, upgrades, or new initiatives affecting Hikurangi.
Proposed fees and charges — changes to user fees for facilities and services.
You can comment on any part of the WDC Annual Plan or fees schedule; you don’t need to cover everything.
