Local Evacuation Information
Hikurangi Town Hall is the primary evacuation venue for the Hikurangi village.
Evacuation centres open only when needed, and Civil Defence will confirm which locations are activated.

Across the wider Hikurangi and Coastal Ward, several local marae may also open as evacuation centres depending on the type and scale of the emergency.
These marae provide safe shelter, support and a place for families to gather during major events.
