Hikurangi Netball Club

Established in 2017, the Hikurangi Netball Club supports senior players across both competitive and social grades. In 2026 the club began branching into junior leagues, creating a pathway for young players to grow their skills within the community.

The club is affiliated to the Whangarei Netball Centre, one of seventeen centres within the Netball Northern Zone. Hikurangi is proud to have its own netball club with a strong reputation in the Whangarei netball community.

Trainings are held at the Hikurangi Multisports Complex at the Hikurangi Tennis Club, keeping activity local and connected to the wider sports hub.

With a family‑friendly atmosphere and a club ethic of train hard, play fair, the Hikurangi Netball Club produced excellent results in its first season and continues to build on that foundation.

New players are always welcome. Follow the club’s Facebook page or subscribe to email updates to stay informed about trial dates, news, draws and feedback. Senior, junior, competitive and social players are all catered for.

Winter trials commence in late summer. Twilight netball runs in the off‑season at the Hikurangi Multisport Complex, starting each November.
