Hikurangi Historical Museum

A local museum preserving the history of Hikurangi and the wider region. Located within a precinct of historic buildings, including the original Hikurangi Courthouse, Jail and Council Building. Exhibits include artefacts from early industries such as coal mining, along with social, environmental, Māori and cultural histories of the area. The collection features old photographs, objects, tools, clothing, newspaper articles and personal stories connected to Hikurangi.

Thursday: 10.00 am – 11.30 am
Saturday: 10.00 am – 11.30 am
