A practical space for locals to work on projects, learn new skills, and connect with others.
The shed is a hands‑on workshop run by locals who’ve restored the old tennis club building and set it up with benches, tools, and equipment. It’s a place for woodwork, DIY projects, repairs, and community jobs, with people sharing skills and helping one another along the way.
The Community Shed is open to anyone keen on woodwork, DIY projects, or simply fixing things alongside others. Whether you’re experienced or just curious, you’re invited to come along and get involved.
Members meet every Wednesday and Sunday, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm to work on shared projects, maintain the space, and prepare materials such as cleaning and de‑nailing donated timber. New workbenches and improvements are always on the go as the shed continues to grow.
As facilities develop, machinery will be available to use under guidance, creating even more opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to community projects.
We welcome anyone keen to get involved. Pop in for a chat, a cuppa, or simply to have a look around. Whether you’re working on something of your own, pitching in on a community project, or keen to learn what we do, the shed is a space where things get made, fixed, and figured out together.
